About

Money makes things weird. We make it boring.

Splittr exists because the awkward part of shared expenses was never the math — it's the conversation around the math.

The story

Every group has lived some version of it: the trip spreadsheet that starts on day one and haunts everyone by day six. The flatmate who quietly becomes the household bank. The couple running an unspoken tab. The friend who “will calculate everything later”, where later means never.

The math is easy. What's hard is asking for it without sounding like you're keeping score. So we built Splittr to keep the score openly, exactly and early — at the moment the expense happens — so nobody has to reconstruct it later, and nobody has to be the bad guy for wanting things to be fair.

The personality is deliberate: Splittr jokes about situations, never about the person who owes. Money is already emotional; the app doesn't need to be.

What Splittr is — and isn't

Splittr records shared costs, balances and settlements. It is not a bank, a wallet, a payment rail or a lending product, and it never holds or moves money. It doesn't scan your receipts with OCR, sync your bank or categorise your life with AI. You add it, it splits it, you settle it elsewhere. Split. Settle. Simple.

Principles we build by

  • Social-first, financial-second. The friendship outranks the ledger.
  • Exact math or no math. Splits compute in integer minor units; rounding drift is a bug, not a feature.
  • No money custody, ever. If money moves, it moves between people, elsewhere.
  • Honest status. We'd rather say “not submitted yet” than show a fake download button.

Who builds it

Splittr is built and owned by TrustGraphed Systems Private Limited. The Android MVP (version 1.0.0) is feature-complete and frozen; iOS preparation is underway. For the honest, current state of every platform, see the launch status page. To say hello, use the contact page.
