Invites

How Circle invites route.

You may have landed here from a Splittr invite link or QR code. There's nothing to join on this page — this is the explainer, not a join form. Joining always happens in the app, and always with your explicit acceptance.

Phone, app installed

Invite links open the Splittr app straight into the Circle invitation, where you can see who invited you and accept explicitly.

Phone, no app yet

The link brings you here first. Once Splittr is available in your store, install it and open the same link again — the invitation waits for you.

Desktop

Splittr is a mobile app, so desktop invite links land on this page. Open the link on your phone — or ask the Circle owner to show their QR code and scan it with your camera.

Why there's no “join” button here

A Circle is a shared financial record between specific people, so joining is never a drive-by tap on a web page. In the app, you see the Circle, who's in it and who invited you — then you accept. Nobody is added silently, and nobody can join a Circle from a browser form.

Invited before you had the app?

If someone recorded expenses with you before you joined, you'll appear as a named pending participant. When you accept the invite in the app, that pre-join history is already there — accurate from day one, under your name, with nothing attributed silently.

Safety notes

  • Only open invite links from people you actually share expenses with.
  • Splittr will never ask for payment details, passwords or OTPs through an invite link.
  • Invites never silently upload your address book. If you choose “Pick from contacts”, only the selected contact's name is used to prefill the invite — nothing is synced or stored from your contact list.

Current availability

The Android MVP is feature-complete and the store release has not been submitted yet; iOS preparation is pending. The launch status page has the honest, current picture.
